The Federation of Balkan American Association’s "Community Leadership Workshop 2010" was held on December 24th and 25th 2010 at the Holiday Inn Hotel and EBRU TV Headquarters in New Jersey. The event gathered students and young professionals from across the Northeast. The leadership workshop was composed of different sessions that included various fields ranging from culture, sports, education, business, to media and governance.

The opening session served to welcome the attendees and provide a general overview of the workshop. The participants were separated into various sections according to their specific interests.  Sessions included brainstorming, suggestions and participants sharing insights and strategies with others in similar fields.  A number of professionals on hand provided practical advice on how to utilize knowledge to pursue professional development, success and to empower each attendee with leadership abilities necessary for.

Each group created a plan of action for organizing their communities around one or more projects. Following the presentations, a certificate awarding ceremony was held. Participants left the event encouraged and inspired to pursue aspirations and achievements in the New Year. At the end of the leadership workshop the youth enjoyed an entertaining event with music and dancing.
