The FEBA Soccer Challenge is a mini soccer tournament organized by Federation of Balkan American Associations (FEBA) in order to promote soccer and healthy life among the Balkan American youth. Tournament was held on March 13, 2011 in Paterson Charter School of Science and Technology’s sports facility. Eight teams competed for the first place and “FEBA SOCCER CHALLENGE CUP”. Tournament was of knockout phase, and first place winner would win the trophy and summer trip to Turkey. The additional excitements to the tournament were about fifty supporters striving to be the additional player for their favorite team.
Tournament was focusing on youth, and age limit was 18 to 35. At the tournament, eight teams were participating in the thrilling competition. The teams were: Bosniak American Sports Club BASC, Bosnian Finest, Eski Dostlar, Vllaznimi, Zlatni Ljiljani, FC Bosna United, Pomak Windgap and Macedonia Bronx.
While the audience enjoyed the maximum pleasure of superb soccer play, on the court there was a fever pitch. Semi-final match, "FC Bosna United -"Zlatni Ljiljani" ended with a superb victory of Zlatni Ljiljani with 8:10 score. While in the other semifinal match, "Bosnian Finest" easily handled with the team "Pomak Windgap" with wining 12:3.
The final was a special story. We can say the two best teams, "Zlatni Ljiljani" and "Bosnian Finest" provided us very challenging and exciting game where at the end of game result was 10:6 for Bosnian Finest who became winners of FEBA Soccer Challenge.
Winner 1 FEBA Cup team "Bosnian Finest," which was honored with the trophy and free trip to Turkey. 1 FEBA Soccer Challenge Cup winning team was presented by Dr. Aras KONJHODZIC.
